Wired with a 1.5mm² 3-core 99.99% pure copper conductor and an 8mm PVC jacket, it handles a full 10A and 2.6kW load without heat build-up. What's the difference between this PowerCON power cable and a PowerCON-to-PowerCON link cable?

This cable brings mains power from an Australian wall outlet to your first piece of PowerCON-equipped gear. A PowerCON-to-PowerCON link cable connects two PowerCON-equipped devices together to share power down a chain. Most rigs need both: this cable for the wall connection, link cables for daisy-chaining.

Will this work with all my PowerCON-equipped gear?

Yes, as long as your gear has a genuine Neutrik PowerCON NAC3MPA chassis input (the grey input, not the blue output). Most professional moving heads, LED fixtures, line array tops, active subs, and amp racks ship with NAC3MPA inlets. Check the back of your equipment before ordering.

What length should I choose?

Use 1.5m to 2m for rack-mounted gear and short stage patches, 3m for standard stage and FOH runs, 5m for longer stage and powered speaker runs, and 7m to 10m for long runs to truss-mounted fixtures. Add a bit of slack so you're not stretching cables across walkways.

What is the maximum load I can run through this powercon power cable?

The cable is rated at 10A, 240V, 2.6kW. Stay within that limit by adding up the power draw of every device on the cable, including any second device on the piggyback plug. Most pro audio and lighting gear lists wattage on the rear panel.

Is this cable suitable for outdoor use?

The cable is rated to -20°C and handles temporary outdoor use under cover, marquees, stages, or shaded positions. It is not IP-rated, so it shouldn't be exposed to direct rain or
used in permanent outdoor installations.
