Pro-grade latches used across our most popular Titan AV cases — now available for yours.
Our range of butterfly case latches offers strength, reliability, and mounting flexibility for flight cases, speaker trunks, instrument boxes, and custom builds. Choose from recessed or surface-mount styles, all made from heavy-duty steel and designed to fit industry-standard specs.
Recessed Butterfly Latch – Medium (Zinc) The go-to latch across Titan AV cases. Flush-mounted, padlock-ready, with an offset dish for tight closure and less rattle.
Recessed Butterfly Latch – Large (Chrome) Built for bigger lids and heavier gear. Same secure locking action with more grip and visibility—chrome finish for a clean look.
Surface-Mount Butterfly Latch – Small (Chrome) Fast to install and compact in size. Great for smaller builds, retrofits, or utility trunks. Not lockable, but strong and easy to handle.
All latches are made from 1.5mm thick steel, finished in zinc or chrome, and backed by a 12-month warranty. Recessed models feature padlock compatibility, and are ideal for both new builds and pro-level repairs.
Whether you’re building a custom DJ case, restoring a road-worn rack, or upgrading for security, Titan AV’s butterfly latches are built to lock it down and keep it moving.
People also ask
What’s the difference between recessed and surface-mount latches?
Recessed latches sit flush in the case wall—giving a cleaner look and better protection. Surface-mount latches sit on top and are easier to install (no routing or cutting required).
Are these latches lockable?
Our recessed latches are padlock-compatible (padlock not included). The small surface-mount latch is not lockable.
What latch size should I choose?
Small – Compact cases, repairs, and utility trunks
Medium – Most standard road cases (our most versatile size)
Large – Oversized lids and heavier gear
Do recessed latches require case cutting into the plywood?
Yes—you’ll need to cut a rectangular recess into the case panel using a router or jigsaw, then drill for mounting holes. Measurements are included on each product page.
What is an Offset Dish and why does it matter?
An offset dish allows the latch to sit slightly inside the case wall (about 1.5mm). This improves:
Lid alignment and seal
Rattle resistance
Protection against impact during transport
Offset dishes are standard in pro-level flight and road cases—including every Titan AV build.
