Designed for Australian 240V mains, every cable is SAA approved (SAA-170829-EA) and ready to plug straight into the rig. Unlike a PowerCON power lead, which runs from a wall outlet with a standard Australian plug on one end, this cable has Neutrik PowerCON connectors on both ends, built specifically to daisy chain PowerCON-equipped fixtures, amps, and stage gear together.

Choose the Right PowerCON Cable Length

Pick a length based on the distance between PowerCON-equipped devices in your daisy chain:

  • 1.5m–2m, short fixture-to-fixture links and tight rack patches
  • 3m, standard daisy chain between truss-mounted fixtures and floor positions
  • 5m, full stage runs and rack-to-front-of-stage links
  • 7m–10m, long throws between mains supply and the rig, or across larger stages

On a touring rig, you stop counting how many wall outlets you'd need without these. Run one mains supply to the first fixture, chain the rest, and bring the rig down just as fast at the end of the night. Designed in Brisbane, built for the crew.

What's the difference between a PowerCON cable and a PowerCON power cable?

A PowerCON cable has Neutrik PowerCON connectors on both ends. It links one PowerCON-equipped device to the next in a daisy chain. A PowerCON power cable has a PowerCON connector on one end and a standard Australian plug on the other. It runs from the wall outlet to the first device in the chain. You'll usually need one PowerCON power cable to start the chain and PowerCON cables for every link after that.

Will this work with all my fixtures and amps?

Yes, as long as they have a Neutrik PowerCON inlet. PowerCON is the standard locking power connector across professional lighting and audio gear (moving heads, LED bars, powered speakers, amps, hazers, and more). If your device has a standard kettle-style IEC inlet instead, you'll need our IEC power cable.

What length PowerCON Cable should I choose?

Use 1.5m to 2m for fixture-to-fixture links, 3m for standard daisy chains between truss positions and floor gear, 5m for full stage runs, and 7m to 10m for long throws between the mains supply and the rig. Pack a few extras of each length so a tight chain doesn't leave you short.

Is this cable suitable for outdoor use?

The cable is rated to -20°C and handles temporary outdoor use under cover, marquees, stages, or shaded positions. It is not IP-rated, so it shouldn't be exposed to direct rain or
used in permanent outdoor installations.

What's the maximum load I can run through this PowerCON cable?

10A at 240V, or 2.6kW maximum. That's enough to power most professional fixtures and powered speakers in a daisy chain, but add up the current draw of every device on the chain before you connect. If the combined load goes over 10A, split the chain across two mains supplies.

Do I need an electrician to fit this?

No. This cable comes pre-terminated with genuine Neutrik PowerCON connectors on both ends, making it plug-and-play with compatible PowerCON-equipped devices. No wiring or assembly is required.
