2022 in Review

Shannon M |

2022 was a very big year for us! We launched a new website, had a brand refresh, got flooded and expanded our Australian made range of products to name but a few. This year also saw plenty of Australians back out and about supporting live music, acts and events, hooray!!

Brand New Ambitions.

Over the past few years VFM Group has made the shift away from selling other brands to growing our Titan AV range. In doing so we’re able to pivot and innovate quicker to best answer our customer needs. Your problems become our solutions because at the end of the day that’s why we exist! To help you deliver outstanding service by creating thoughtfully designed & tested products that save you time.

As our products have evolved to meet the changing needs of our customers our brand has also evolved.

New look. New Website.

With a new look comes a brand new website, front and back! We moved over to the Shopify platform to provide a more streamlined experience for all. If you love shopping on your phone then you’ll love the new product quick view and mobile optimised design.

We aim to be Conscious Innovators.

We’re determined to grow and innovate responsibly! This year, with more CNC machine manufacturing, we hit a fresh challenge... How do we responsibly dispose of excess materials from CNC cutting?

Enter a local recycling initiative called Reverse Garbage (RGQ). RGQ is Queensland's only eco arts and reuse centre specialising in the collection of clean industrial discards. So now Brisbane DIYers can repurpose our EVA foam offcuts! Waste not.

Reverse Garbage

One step forward, two steps back.

The wins wouldn’t seem so sweet if we didn’t have some lows. This year that came in the form of a burst kitchen pipe that flooded our offices and showroom. What we thought would be a two week fix turned into a two month occupation of the warehouse. If you happened to call us during this time you heard endless tape guns & forklift noise in the background. No pain, no gain?!

How-Tos, Product Demos and Guides.

Education plays an important role in what we offer our customers. This year we launched our Ultimate Buying Guide to Lighting Truss. This guide assists newcomers with the initial learning curve that comes with truss. We hope it  answers some questions & encourages you to give us a call to chat about your unique trussing needs.

We broke our truss, so you won’t!

Last year we conducted a series of structural tests on our lighting truss. This year we shared the results + behind the scenes footage. They were the biggest test of their kind ever conducted in Australia! If you’d like to learn more, checkout our blog When does lighting truss crack? The ULTIMATE safety test!

Friendly Faces at ENTECH Roadshow.

In October we exhibited at ENTECH Roadshow. This one-day touring roadshow is for audio, video, lighting and staging professionals in Australia. After a crazy couple of years for the live events industry, it was also a great opportunity to catch up and chat with other industry professionals. Thanks to everyone that visited our VFM Group and Titan AV stand. It was great to see so many friendly faces.

New Faces to the Team.

This year we collected 3 new talents to our team. Cam helps keep the warehouse sorted and if you’ve visited us, he’s the booming voice that greets you at the doors. Yasmin helps with admin, which actually means she helps with everything! And our latest recruit Jacob brings new energy and ideas to our CNC creations.

No no Thank YOU!

To every single one of our customers, thank you! Whether you’ve been with us for the long haul or you’ve just bought your first product with us - we thank you for choosing Titan AV. You’ve chosen to support an Australian company, so that together we can care for our communities!

We’ve got some exciting things coming down the pipeline in 2023 that we can’t wait to share! Until then, have a safe & happy new year everyone!
